Join me in an exploration of majestic Cape Cod, MA

Based out of Eastham, MA in the heart of the Cape Cod National Seashore, we’ll photograph sunrises, sunsets, and scenes in between on both the “bay” and “ocean” side of the outer cape.  With views as far out into the Atlantic as one can imagine, gentle tides within the inner bay, and sand dunes crafted over decades winding up and down the coast, the rugged beauty of Cape Cod is there for us to explore and photograph.

With the entire outer cape at our disposal, we’ll visit some of the most iconic locations in the northeast, including:

Chatham

Often referred as, “the elbow”, Chatham, and it’s plethora of cape-style homes is quintessential Cape Cod. It’s also home to one of the most vast and beautiful beach and sand dune areas in New England, an area perfect for sunrise, and further exploration shortly thereafter. If photographing quintessential cape homes, boats, dunes and harbors is your thing, Chatham is the perfect place for you.

Bay Side

Towns like Dennis, Brewster, and Wellfleet all boast incredible sunset views across Cape Cod Bay. With the boardwalk at Gray’s Beach, the marshes at Paine’s Creek, the tree-like channel markers of Rock Harbor, and the New England charm of the Stony Brook Grist Mill, there will be plenty of opportunity to create the quintessential Cape Cod image along the inner bay.

Ocean Side

With lighthouses dotting the coast, the Cape Cod National Seashore is a rugged and beautiful place. Orleans, Nauset, and Coast Guard Beaches will give us unfettered views of the Atlantic Ocean and it’s sometimes tumultuous surf. Locations like Salt Pond, Nauset Light, and Highland Lighthouse will provide ample opportunity to step away from the shore and photograph interior locations as well.

Wild Life

While we will focus on Landscape Photography for the most part, Cape Cod has many resident wild animals that will be worth photographing. Fox, Coyotes, Ospreys, and shorebirds dominate the fauna of the cape. It will be worth you bringing your longer lens to photograph the beautiful animals we encounter along the way.

Provincetown

With sweeping dunes, perfect sunset vistas, easy foot paths, a quaint downtown, working harbor, three lighthouses, and wild fox, coyotes, and birds, the outermost outpost of the Cape and all it’s diversity, may be the area’s best kept secret. Best visited in the afternoon and evening, we’ll plan one of our later excursions to Provincetown and ProvinceLands National Seashore
